Through the Chapter Advocacy Roundtable, HIMSS engages state and regional chapters to advocate for health information and technology policies at the grassroots level. HIMSS recognizes chapters who complete a certain number of advocacy activities throughout the year.
The following chapter advocates recently completed the HIMSS Chapter Advocacy Non-Stop November challenge, which focused on completing advocacy activities in November 2017:
Examples of advocacy activities included demonstrating collaboration with regional health IT partners and chapters, organizing State Advocacy Days, and educating members about advocacy news and activities through their chapter’s website and social media.
