I started working for HIMSS in September of 2013 as a Service Desk contractor.
Supporting the business in our mission is a lot of fun for me. In my time at HIMSS, I’ve had the privilege to meet just about all of our employees and get to know what they do. IT is a fast-moving and constantly changing world, which mirrors healthcare amazingly well. If I can help keep the office infrastructure and the employees up to speed, then the business will have all the tools that they need to excel.
In my time at HIMSS I’ve had the opportunity to visit just about every site location and help support many of our events. For me, that is where I really get to see all of our efforts in IT paying off. It’s amazing to see how many people we can bring together to help improve the state of healthcare. When we visit office locations, we get to see long thought-out strategies in action and the impact they have on everyone’s day-to-day activities.
