The majority of the world’s citizens receive healthcare services in their communities. During the height of the pandemic, there was a surge in out-of-hospital care with the burden of the patient management typically falling on primary care providers; many governments enacted temporary flexible regulations expanding community health services to support health systems that were over capacity with COVID-19 patients and other patients they are mandated to serve.
Community-driven solutions are necessary, as communities are in a unique position to drive priorities and actions tailored to their population’s needs and address many of the determinants of health. This on-demand webinar highlights the need for advancing digital maturity with community healthcare organizations offering non-acute care and introducing the newest HIMSS maturity model—the Community Care Outcomes Maturity Model (C-COMM)—which replaces the Outpatient EMR Adoption Model (O-EMRAM) and is set to launch April 2023.
