Registration is open for HIMSS25, taking place March 3-6 in Las Vegas. The annual global conference is the epicenter of healthcare innovation, empowering government leaders to drive positive change and improve healthcare outcomes within their communities.

Featured Speakers with Government Expertise 

New Jersey Commissioner of Health Dr. Kaitlan Baston will discuss state-level innovations that can scale nationally and even globally to address the nation’s top causes of death in young people: overdose, suicide and homicide. She will explore the innovation, outside-the-box thinking and agility at scale that public-private partnerships can offer to make an impact.  

In a dynamic fireside chat, Seema Verma, Executive Vice President and General Manager for Oracle Health & Life Sciences, will show attendees amazing developments in data science, AI and interoperability that can ensure a healthcare system that is sustainable, affordable, accessible and improves the quality of life for patients and their families. Verma was previously administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). 

Policy and Public Health Preconference Forums 

As one of the first interoperability events of 2025, the Interoperability and HIE Forum offers a prime opportunity to understand the priorities set by the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy and Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ASTP/ONC) and a new Presidential Administration. The forum will explore the complexities of standards and healthcare data exchange, including a robust discussion of critical privacy and data usage issues. 

The Public Health Data Modernization Forum offers timely and interactive presentations and discussions. The forum will equip participants with a deeper understanding of data modernization efforts and the partnerships and information exchange necessary between public health, healthcare, and supporting market suppliers.  

The Health Equity Forum provides a valuable opportunity to connect and learn from health equity leaders from federal and local agencies, healthcare organizations, community-based organizations, academia, and others to actively promote and maintain health equity through action.

Peer-reviewed general education sessions will show attendees how to implement digital health strategies in military medicine, evaluate telehealth and remote patient monitoring in Medicare, get an overview of the CMS Interoperability Roadmap and learn about the new staff at the Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy.
