The 2025 HIMSS Global Conference & Exhibition wrapped up another groundbreaking year, bringing together approximately 28,000 healthcare and technology leaders from around the world at the Venetian Convention & Expo Center in Las Vegas, March 3-6. As the foremost event in healthcare technology, HIMSS25 provided an unparalleled platform for insights, research and innovations that are shaping the future of digital health.

HIMSS25 opened with a compelling keynote from Dr. Seung-woo Park, President of Samsung Medical Center, who detailed the critical role of digital health transformation in enhancing patient care. Dr. Park’s address emphasized the importance of Electronic Medical Records and their integration into a modern, efficient healthcare ecosystem. Dr. Park was joined by Dr. Meong Hi Son, Chief Medical Information Officer of Samsung Medical Center and her AI-powered robots.

On Tuesday, retired four-star Army General Paul M. Nakasone, the longest-serving leader of U.S. Cyber Command and the NSA, delivered a powerful keynote on transformational leadership and the evolving challenges in cybersecurity. With over three decades at the forefront of national security, General Nakasone shared his battle-tested insights on issues that are vital in healthcare’s digital evolution like technology, cybersecurity and geopolitics.

Artificial Intelligence was front and center at HIMSS25, with HIMSS President & CEO Hal Wolf highlighting how conversations around AI in hospitals and health systems have shifted. The conference saw major AI software launches from industry giants like Microsoft, Zoom, and Teladoc, reinforcing AI’s growing role in clinical decision support, workflow automation and patient outcomes.

Beyond AI, the conference featured hundreds of education sessions tackling pressing healthcare challenges including health equity, workforce development and the ethical and responsible use of emerging technologies.

HIMSS25 also served as a stage for significant international collaboration, including a memorandum of understanding signing with the government of Türkiye, solidifying the commitment toward advancing digital health transformation on a global scale.

The HIMSS25 exhibit hall was a showcase of cutting-edge healthcare technology, with nearly 1000 companies offering solutions across seven specialty pavilions. Attendees explored innovations in interoperability, cybersecurity, AI-driven diagnostics, patient engagement tools and more, all driving the industry toward a more connected and efficient future.

HIMSS25 closed on a high note with an inspiring keynote from Simone Biles, the most decorated Olympic gymnast in history. Biles has been a leading advocate for mental health awareness, bringing an important perspective on the connection between healthcare, technology and well-being.

HIMSS25 once again brough together the brightest minds and most influential voices together to the leading event in healthcare technology and pushed the boundaries of digital health innovation. Continue the ongoing conversation in Paris for HIMSS25 Europe, taking place June 10-12 and again in Las Vegas for HIMSS26 on March 9-12, 2026.
